SECURITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (SEMS)
The Security of your airline’s operations has never been more important
SEMS will become an ICAO recommendation within the next Edition of Annex 17 “Safeguarding International Civil Aviation Against Acts of unlawful interference” (9th Edition, not published yet).
Since Mars 1st, 2007, airlines must implement a SEMS to comply with the standards established within the IATA IOSA (IATA Operational Safety Audit) program.
Security processes not only affect the safety of your operations, but have a direct impact on the effectiveness, efficiency and profitability of your airline.
Industry safety audits are directing airlines to implement security management systems.
Your Goals
To secure the future of your airline, you should implement a Security Management System that will:
Protect the people, physical assets, intellectual property and information systems of your company.
Comply with the State regulations and the local Authority requirements.
Promote a proactive approach in order to more effectively prevent security incidents.
Mitigate the economical impact of the security measures.
Control and manage access to sensitive information.
Engage all members of your Security Team in a common and coordinated effort.
Integrate an incident feed back mechanism that ensures the highest level of security.
