After university studies in management, transport economics and organisational logistics, Charles undertook several missions to Africa for the United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR) in 1994-1996. He then served as trainer/expert in logistics for several training institutes before joining Air France in 2001 where he was responsible for logistics training in the group’s General Industrial Management (DGI) for 4 years. He developed an internal training catalogue covering all of the functions of industrial logistics, from supplier selection to item release to end user.

In 2005, Charles joined Air France Consulting as a senior Consultant-expert on logistics and organisation in aviation maintenance, specializing in the process of improving supply chain management as well as all the preparation of maintenance workshops for Part145/21 regulatory conformity.
